I do know a bit about engine tuning and ecu's but I will say, both tuners on this thread have my respect for their expertise.

i think there are only a few places to take your cossie too and thay are harvy martin or mark i think you will get what you need from either off these so don't see the need to fall out although it is funny as fuck

Personally, I would only take my Cosworth to one of the well known Cosworth specialists, as they will know all the foibles of these and be able to set it up to the best of it's ability. In my experience, taking it to a "Jack of All Trades Tuner" (Master of none ) is more costly in the long run. Do it right and pay once, do it wrong and pay for it forever .

TBH unless I did the installation I wouldn't want to be handing out any warranty.
I would imagine a LOT of issues arrise from poor installations or badly run in engines.
I do remember seeing a 1000hp Evo engine ND had for sale that had warranty ! I'd love to see the smallprint on that warranty form

IIRC you got something like 12mnths warrenty, with every recon/rebilt engine.
All the cossie lads were going there's rebuilt, and then getting new engines everytime the fucker blew up.
It didnt stay open long.

It is Nick Lawrence and tbh I haven't got a clue as to what mapping he does or any different types of mapping that are avaliable
He does however do the mapping on the highway and not on a rolling road thingy but not just outside his house
From what I have heard is that he is pretty good, but not seeing it forst hand I can only go on what others say.

Mike what's the point in going on reminds me that i wasted the money going there and to be fair i spent Ł3k buying the saff and another Ł2k on the rebuild for the gasket SUMP one /engine fail THANKS FOR REMINDING ME THAT I WASTED MORE THAN I THOUGHT !
It seams to me that Pauls had a problem and this being a public forum has said he has had a problem with SCS thats all.

What happened to mr rs500 that cant string a sentance together? He seems to be very unwilling to put up his side of the story? Obviously his engine failure has been down to himself and dont want everyone to know...

i've heard some mega stories about harvey!! and his engine seems to perform faultless time and time again.
You could use MAD but after the motors built you will have to become an arrogant bastard like all of their customers on here!

I've never used any of these companies, so have no opinion, all seem to do good things, so that's all I see of it, but your defensive attitude doesn't seem condusive to solving the problem. If I'd apparently lost loads of money and thought the tuner may be at fault, then I'd be talking to them to try and get it resolved, not trying to forget about it. Unless you've got more money than sense of course
Simple PM to Mike explaining what actually happened in full might make things easier. Otherwise, you're probably just going to get more stick...And as for this endlessly reoccuring argument. I think given some of the cars each company has been associated with, I think all have proved themselves pretty worthy to be honest haven't they?
But hey, keep going, gives the rest of us something to read

but every thread like this its like a stuck record with the attitude of their customers, i've never used either tuners so cant comment on their work first hand. never heard a bad story about either if i'm honest.

Mike wants the details so told him the ruff as it is between me and SCS
As for the post he wanted to know about SCS so i told him my experience
how can anyone be happy to lose money but how do you prove the fault when the ones who done it has your car / engine which is your prof But the engine cant have been done 100% as why did it have a massive oil leak withing 1st 100miles then total fail within 1.5k !

you keep going on about a gasket leaking which happens all he time when rebuillding motors, can nick a gasket without noticing etc...

What drive the car from peter bough to home stopping at a laser aligment place that pionted out the leak didn't know you wasn't allowed to drive a car you had paid someone to work on !
