sky + box ?
is it possible to take a sky +box ,from one address and go to another get a dish fitted and it still work ok without having to change your payment details to the new address.the bill would be getting paid from the original house.

you need yoru twin cable and quad lnb too tho, single feed is pointless on a plug box (if you havnt got those bits pm me)
you can put the box where you like, if you are within your 12mth contract sky can get the arse over it not being on a phone line but rarely do

the reason that the billing address dosen't want to be changed is that the bill is being shared so only paying half the monthly cost, but if you declare a new address you will have to pay full price, and so will the other person at the old address. sky charge enough as it is

Just call Sky and let them know the new address where the box is at and keep the same billing address. Your not going to be double billed for changing the address?!

i mean that the old address will still be using sky,so is it possible to move one box to another address without letting sky know,as they will then charge 2 homes for 2 seperate accounts, instead of still paying only half.can they detect another address only if the phone lines are connected? or can they find out through the dish signal?

If the box is part of a multi room subscription then both boxes must be connected to the same telephone line otherwise you will be charged at full rate for the second box. They do a callback once per month to check this.
Sky are unable to know what address the box is in from the telephone line connection or through the satelite.

Morcheen, new and existing customers pay the same. New customers may get free install but didn't you when you signed up? What package are you on?
I think its costs 4-5p per minute when you call Sky, unless you have the calls package with them which would then make it free. If you don't want to call them, email them via www.sky.com
Dojj, that's the box I'm getting soon.

The HD boxes that they are giving away for free are OK, think they're the 500 GIG ones. Isn't the 1TB 3D ready too?! I'm waiting for an offer that's coming soon, I wouldn't pay the £250.
Morcheen, you should call and downgrade your package and see if they offer you anything. If they don't, you could always add the stations back on through the website. Just don't give the 'new customer's get everything' or 'I'm going to Virgin' speels - sound genuine.
