Hi to anybody that can help or has suffered a similar problem.
Iv recently bought a 2.2tdci mondeo st estate 3 weeks ago to be exact.
Im struggling to select second gear when cold is this common?
I find the gears select spot on when stationary clutch in 1 to 6 gears as soon as i move off first if over in an instant then second but no second is terrible to select is it the sincro?as soon as the fluids are warm it becomes easier.second gear realy cant be that bad...........can it

 

wrong gear oil would be a strong possability, try chaging the oil to what ford recommends

 

Cheers m8 but its got a full dealer service history but mistakes have been made b4 tho

 

I had this in an old focus, gear cables needed adjusting!

 

Didnt even know it had cables cheers m8 somthing else to try....anything but a new gearbag
