Don't assume throwing money as a "shit" ignition system will improve it, they were so shit they were only used a few years, weren't they ??????
Coilpacks came about due to COST, nothing else.

this sounds exactly what my car is doing, so im gona change my plugs, hope you get it sorted mate, this wasted spark package from MSD is what im gona get some day to put an end to this shit ign system, hugh

Ive had 2 cossies with coil packs now & once fitted never had any missfire probs & never once had to change the plugs its one of the best things i ever fitted to the cossies.

Well boys, since I've changed the plugs I can rule the ignition out, so no need to bash the ignition anymore It's a little more serious than that at this point. Tested resistance from all angles on the loom, and it doesn't look good with the current ECU fitted, the figures I was getting weren't there before. Will know more once the test ECU arrives.

I dunno, but getting an identical ECU to test and Wenny's sending me a spare 3bar sensor to see if there's any difference. Can't think what else it could be, not considering where its been for the past 3 weeks!

anymore progress mate. Blacky was telling me about your problem. He said have you checked the battery voltage and make sure the alternator is working as it should.

what were ur voltage's at on the injectors and all power points they should be around 13.6 and also what leads u using if you test ur leads they should be around the 18000 mark i bought some new leads for mine had a misfire so tested the leads and they were only 8000 when they should have been 18000 or around that

Thought 3rd injector didn't read very well on multimeter. ECU shagged, sourced another for a £100. One I borrowed from a lad on here worked perfectly. Injector board probably blown on mine. But all working now, so pics coming, look at my project thread
