Hi guys,

after abit of help my friend recently had his 535d remapped, before the remap the car ran fine and would pull all the way to the limiter no issues, however after the remap the first time i tried the car out on the track once i got to 120mph the car spluttered abit and i lost power and got the engine management light

He rang the company up who did the remap who said they would come out and reload the map on which they did again everything was fine untill he reached a similar sort of speed and he got the same result, splutter loss of power and engine management light...

now he's called them again and there saying it could be down to the EGR valve whats peoples thoughts on this? and what would be the best way to check this??

any advice on what he should do/try next would be grateful !

Ask xr2i-carl to take a look. He is a god with mapped bmw diesels

Plus his mum seems quite fit.

Failing that - Stu at MSD is the man to go see
