just went to get a spare key made to so i can open the doors incase i lock my key in my mk3 fezzer, however the bloke said he cant do it unless i have the red master key and i dont he said ill have to go to the ford garage and pay £60 is there anyway i can get it done cheaper? might aswell buy a whole new locking set lol

ye thats what i thought maybe if i wanted it to start the car, but i dont :S

then he was talking out his arse, key can be cut anywere, will need to be cloned to start it tho

The key contains a chip that has to be recognised by the car's immobiliser.
Just cutting a key should get you in the car, but won't start it.
Did you tell him why you wanted a spare key?
