i think if you pay tonight it will say payment pending at his end so all will be good and your funds will be in tommo so he'll be none the wiser.

have you seen the car? are you confident of the seller?, seems strange he wont wait to take payment and is demanding it now?

haha it is easy to do that, but dont lose your head, if there are any doubts fuck it off.

i sell a lot of cars on ebay and i would never demand payment like that, iam usually telling buyers NOT to pay on paypal, come see the car and pay cash, bank transfer or bankers draft, paypal isnt as secure as those types of payment.

just doesnt sound right imo, when did you win the auction or commit to buy?

also as its friday night i cant understand why he would want it in his paypal account tonight, (only reason i can think of is if he has got to send money to someone else?), if he wants to withdraw the money to his bank account it wont start the transfer till monday morning regardless.

Nope, just a cheap runner. Well, he's supplied a phone number, so gonna ring him in the morning. He has supplied an invoice too.

I always thought the buyer was protected no matter what the item for sale

did you get the car with a cheap bid?

i've had this. won an escort gti for Ł200 about 8 o'clock on sunday night, because i couldn't collect that night with cash he backed out of the sale saying i wasn't a genuine buyer, spoke to him on the phone and he said he wanted more money.

and paypal doesn't offer you any real protection mate, makes you wonder why they take 4%.

so thats why you are willing to bend over for him, when did you win the auction?

still doesnt sound right, and like i said cars arent covered on their t&c's

13.4 What items are not covered by PayPal’s Protection for buyers

PayPal’s protection for buyers only applies to payments for certain tangible, physical goods. Payments for: intangibles, services, real estate, businesses, vehicles (including, without limitation, motor vehicles, motorcycles, caravans, aircraft and boats),

I cant see why anyone would want payment through Pay Pal for a car anyway, the ripping off bastards.
If I sell a bike or car it always coc.I sometimes ask for a dipper through PP just to cover my time and fees otherwise Cash only.
I wouldn't pay for anything either unless I had viewed it first

best bet mate, paying on delivery that way you can check the car over and make sure it is as described on the ebay auction,

good luck with it
