Default replacement tax disc

somehow managed to lose my tax disc think its fallen behind the dash (in between the dash and windscreeen) or its flown out of the door when a passenger has opened it

found a 2008 one sitting on top of the dash, thats when i thought shit better check if the 2010 is still there!!! but there was nothing else in the holder

the holder is one of those crappy magnetic holders. now im gonna need to get a new one and tax disc!!!

would there be any downfalls of me copying someone elses tax disc and writing on a print out with my own details? not like anyone would ever need to check it is it? and it runs out soona (end of next month i think) anyway so not much point in buying a replacement even if it is £7 or whatever? by the time it gets here ill maybe only have 2-3 weeks left of it

just before anyone says, yes my car is taxed!

ends 28/02/2010 and is the purple disc type

anyon got any ideas, other than buy a new one
dont really wanna get in trouble or anything, and cant see how i could by doing this (unless someone did a very close up inspection, i.e. a copper on a bad day, still dont think they would notice! been pulled over many times before and theyve never checked a tax disc in any of my cars other than just for the date )

You're better off not displaying one = "Failure to display"
Sooner than print your own = "Fraudulent use of a disc".

Check when it runs out here;

really? cool! thats what im gonna do, and if i get stopped before it expires ill just take the producer and get a repeat one ordered

ill copy one for a friends car which expires on the exact same date, same colour tax disc etc. my car does have valid tax, and if it didnt then this question would be very stupid, and i wouldnt have asked it
