Default Anyone do sierra alloy rear hubs?

Or does anyone know the OD on the part of the hub that goes into the bearing carrier?

Cheers.

I'm using a kit car style double wishbone setup on a car with MNR uprights (or looking to). It will be simpler to use all ford hubs, bearring carriers, discs, calipers etc but I want to run 4x100 PCD. The way I look at it I could redrill the sierra hub and disc to that PCD. Just wondering who sells the hubs new?

Another option is to get a vaux or bmw hub and have it machined to the OD of the sierra hub to suit the bearing.

Not aware of any alloy hubs for the sierra

It will be a problem redrilling the existing hubs to 4x100 as there are 2 big holes in the hub face where you would need to drill the alternative holes.

An option is a alloy or steel hub adapter that bolts onto the hub using the existing 4 holes and converts the 4x108 pattern to 4x100 - this will add about 15mm each wheel to your axle width, but they are readily available.

Thanks for the reply Paul.

Not having room for redilling was a fear!

I may be able to use spacers but my width is limited to keep it all within the body shell. Using the spacers may mean having to custom make shorter wishbones rather than off the shelf stuff which is what I'm trying to do.

Gonna have a look at old e30 bmw stuff I think as they're IRS and 4x100.

Cheers for the help.

check on this link, they do sierra alloy bearing carrier(bottom of page) and they do a junior(vauxhall) to ford adaptor(halfway down page) so they could prob do a ford to vaux fitting and they do an alloy hub ...i dont think i'd recommend it on a cossie but a kitcar should be fine as its lot lighter.

I've seen that site before and I'll be using a few of their bits!

The ally hub they sell is the fronts. I think as you say ally rears is prob not a good idea anyway. The carits all going on (dare I say it!) is a nova saloon converted to rwd using porsche transaxle.

I really don't think I'll have the room for wheel adapters. I'm now looking at other 4x100 setups that might fit the sierra bearing carriers.

reliant scimitar ss1s use sierra (but shortened) driveshafts, their own smaller and lighter rear hub, and 4x100mm PCD flanges.

if you want a pair, happy to swap for disc sierra rear hubs?
