Thank you guys, do you know how is Wilcox?
Also, in rally UK, is most common to see BDG on carbs or mechanical fuel injection?

Define 'best'

There are many people/companies very caperable of building or supplying a BDG parts available from many sources including KAM developments, Burtons, Richardsons etc.
Depends on budget and if you want carburetors or mechanical injection.
A new engine on carbs Ł20,000-Ł22,000 or injection Ł24,000-Ł26,000.

I will agree they are expensive, but who ever told you they are unreliable is talking rubbish or is building them wrong.

Steve

PS your escort needs a BDG or BDT,(if you are going to use a YB the G60 gearbox will not be strong enough but a G69 will)

Hi Steve, thanks.
My escort, since is following FIA rules, needs a BDG.
If I have to define "best" I will say "reliable, powerfull" for the engine and "service" for the company who is building it.

To answer those questions will be a matter of opinion, as every company that builds engines will tell you that their engine is best.
Try the companies mentioned, also Jondel, DTW, TMR, JRE, SWRE, Field Motorsport, Paul Fisher, there is loads your have to make your decision.

Terry is more into Ferraris.
DTW also built engines for the works escorts.

TDH has had a BD in for a build, it was left there nearly two years ago, has not moved.
Good Luck.
