ginge its nothing like fibreglass, if he hasnt done it you stand as uch of a chance, i can do flat objects or bends but funny shaped take skill and prob wont have it from laying fibreglass. other thing to consider is the expense to him to play with it and learn? not cheap

I must admit ive been considering giving this a go. Agreed it does 'look' easy going by the youtube videos. The key is getting the weave right using the proper twill carbon. Its the more complicated bits that will be harder no doubt. Im sure it would take a bit of pratice to get something anywhere near half decent, but im going to order a kit and give it a shot anyway.
Just have to take your time, relax and enjoy learning a new skill which results in really cool Carbon bits!

With regards to the moulding, forgive me if I'm wrong but I thought they had to be poored in to a mould then it sets etc and away you go! Carbon isn't like that

I can put you onto someone who does this, they haev autoclave and all as well, big enough to walk into!!
He works with poly/fibreglass/carbon etc, also have a 3 axis CNC on hand for making difficult moulds.
I could ask if you want ?, if so pm me.
