Default What have you used to replaced your old fuel pipes???

Need to replace the fuel pipes on the white saph, don't really want to go to the expense of aeroquipping like i did on my other saph.
What have other people used, there must be a similar type of pipe off the shelf to what's already on the car.
Pics sugestions welcome.

I used 8mm copper pipe formed it to shape and length then solidered 8mm olives on the ends so that when you tighten jubilee clips on rubber hose they will not slip off!! you can get from any plumbers merchant for about Ł25 cheep and easy!

Most decent motor or truck factors have it on stock..... I just took a sample to a local place and they matched a roll of it

All copper lines are not created equal. "They Say" not to use pure copper lines in automotive applications because they can become brittle. Brittle leads to cracks, leads to leaks, leads to fires, which are considered A Bad Thing. CuNiFer is an alloy of Copper, Nickle and Iron.

"Cunifer is seamless, copper nickel alloy DOT approved brake line used for OEM and replacement brake lines, fuel lines, power steering and cooling lines."

Pure copper also catalyzes the auto-oxidation of fuel, the mechanism of sludge formation. Pure copper should never be in contact with fuel. This catalyzing also makes the copper brittle. I am sure though that this takes years.

This is only what I have heard/read - never experienced but there is a lot of info out there on this!

It's KUNIFER 10, and as said copper is unsuitable if subjected to any degree of vibration.
I use OPA, oil petrol air pipe, resistant to all fuels/oils to 25BAR, around Ł1 a foot, I use 8mm for the cossie and most other stuff, 7.6mm hard to come by.

Ok cheers, next question, have you eliminated all the old fuel lines or have you joined new fuel line onto the existing standard one that's joined onto the rail and the black heatshrunk pipes at the back???
How have you done this, just using jubilee clips or what???

I get mine from Walker Rubber and Plastic, 01603 415044.
Any half decent flexi pipe suppliers, or fuel pipe suppliers should have this, I heard some issues of OPA cracking prematurely on friday, after about 1 year, must admit I have some much older than this 5-6 years and is still perfect.
