hi my 205 has not got a rear window wiper it has been removed by previous owner just wondering what the story is for mot is it required or does it only get inspected if it is present?
its not a matter of if its not there its not tested?? the rear wiped does not come into the mot at all same as loads of things ie, reverse lights ns fog light ect ect

As above i wouldn't even take look, i wouldn't be able to tell you if it had one or not after i'd tested it.
correct but only under certain conditions 10mm allowed in zone a and 40mm in all other sweeped area
so...if a car has a big 70mm crack right down the middle of the screen, but someone has removed the std wipers and fitted headlight size blades so the crack isnt in the swept
9 years I've been testing and never had anything presented for test without a screen
My car doesn't have a screen, wipers, washers or a heater and that goes through the MOT every time - and that's on a normal MOT - not a so called daytime one.
can now also fail vehicles for having an exhaust which emits sound louder than that of a vehicle of same type fitted with a standard silencer in other words no big bore exhausts!

panda!although i would fail it on wiper not clearing the screen sufficently!
