dude if you have the space and it dont cost too much more i'd go 14ft. i know 2ft dont sound a lot but if you have several cars to work on or want to put up work benches etc and you need another 2ft you'll be kicking yourself for not goin bigger!

12ft wide is ok for working on a car if its long enough so that you dont have to have stuff at the side of the car like shelves etc.

You wont get both doors open and be able to walk around it, but will be fine for most jobs.

22ft long should be plenty for working on most cars.

i only meant if you had 14ft of space use it lol, not go and buy an extra 2ft of next door lol.

as Chip says, 12ft should be ok fo most jobs.

neil you would be best off ringing the company your going to use for the concrete for a quote or ring around a couple of places as prices vary around the country,do this before you start any ground works it will give you ballpark figure of what its gona cost,do this with all other materials also, that garage did take some doing but worth it in the end, good luck with your build and dont forget to put some pics up when you get started.

mine has cost about that so far with electrics too and it's 33ft x 21ft roughly. 10m x 7m. I did do all the work myself though apart from laying the bricks. If your still local to Ipswich I can give you my brickies number if you like? I think he charged me 1500 for labour and was out in all weathers getting it done.

i think mine is 18ft wide and 24 foot long.its a good size and a concrete sectional one.
it only cost me £2200 and they come and fit it in a day with up and over door etc.10 year guarantee.
