As long as its looked after well and you dont push it to the limits, then it should last quite a while, and you should also consider a mk4 fiesta, very under estimated imo

They are good little cars, the 1.25 engine is a little cracker, they do like to drink a bit of oil though!

A Mk4 1.25 was my first car, mk5 looks a lot better though

The 1.3 is the old endura engines, rattly, underpowered peices of crap! Definately avoid that, hold out for the 1.25, they are excellent little engines

ok mate i shall hold out 4 the 1.25 zetec

do u know what kind of milegae they are capable of before they become unreliable (providint everything is treated as it ahould be)

also a firend of mine has a mk 4 1.3 fiesta and its not 2 bad is quite a nice car but i would prefer a zetec

All depends on how its been looked after and driven. As long as its been serviced properly and driven properly the body will rot away long before the engine will give up! As said, the only thing to look out for is oil usage but its not a huge problem, mine used to drink a bit but I used to keep it topped up, and I hammered the fuck out of it and it never missed a beat in 20,000 miles!

ok mate thank u the 4 help

id prefer a 3 door as i think it looks sportier but if i had 2 i would settle 4 a 5 door car

alos thinking that maybe a 5 doorwill have been treated more respectfully as its more family orientated and the 3 door more of a boy racer style of car
what do u think?
is there any other cars you would recommened id prefer a ford after a shody punto

thanks 4 your help mate
