Sorry to hear that mate, my thoughts are with you and your remaining family. Definately not a good start to the New year at all.
Was it sudden or had he been ill for a while???
Definately a good idea to talk about it though so don't feel guilty for goodness sake, but time is the only healer!!!!!

sorry to hear this...no words from anyone will change how your feeling right now, but certainly talking about it even if through a forum will certainly help you rather than bottling it up!

I feel guilt reading this thread as my strongest thought is "im so glad that isnt me".
Stronger even than the pity I feel for you.
Cant imagine, and dont want to find out, what you are going through, love my dad SO much and cant even begin to imagine the pain of losing him, its one of my biggest dreads in the world as its of course inevitable unless i die very young myself.
I lost my best mate's dad earlier this year, and that was totally devestating, cried my eyes out at the funeral, dont know how the fuck my mate even managed to get to near the end of his speech about his dad before he broke down and cry, I know I wont be able to be that strong when its my turn!
Hope you find a way to cope without him, somehow, but Ive no suggestion as to how!
RIP

Happily retired
Talk about it & stay close to your family. No easy solutions but time will heal. Lost my Dad suddenly 35 years ago not a good time. Dont get easier even if they are old, my Mum died 2 years back, still think about her.

Its hard i know, losing someone, esspecially that close is soo painful, to the point where you probably feel numb. I think you should get all the pain out now, cry if you have to, get all the bad out now! Bottling it up will only make it harder for you..
Always remember the good, the things that made you and him laugh. Talk with your other family, mum, siblins, friends, get it all out. Helping someone else will also help you.
I'm really sorry to hear it. I hope you feel slightly better, i think i can talk on behalf of everyone, we are here for support.
Remember, hes always going to be with you. RIP
