The child's biological father will also be eligible for some form of "discount" if he contributes to her upbringing.
The CSA are good like that you see

I know I'm old-fashioned, but do your own kids now cost mum less because you are looking after someone else's kid? Who makes up the difference in income for her?
And why should the father of your new partner's kid get a discount because you are now to provide for her?
Kids are for life, not just for Christmas!!!!

Not commenting on the reasons or the circumstances at all.
I'm just concerned that there are lots of kids growing up nowadays in very extended families and the concept of "family" seems to be getting diluted. Some guys and girls have kids with multiple partners and that just can't be such a good thing.

This chap has no obligation to spend any of his hard earned money on his partners child but I'm sure he will as she is now partly his responsibility as she lives in his house.
What would you do in his position?

P.S No idea what you need to do to get your money back mate as luckily I've never had to deal with the CSA, I doubt you'll be seeing any return this side of the summer though as they are millions and millions of pounds in debt.

As for multiple partners, I do agree that this is something that would and should raise concerns however I really can't see how the situation can be addressed without some sort of law being passed or everbody converting to catholics, lol.
A couple of kids with a couple of women is acceptable, 4, 5, or more however is not in my opinion.

jeremy kyle show springs to mind! people grow up too quick without learning responsibility that goes with thier actions.
sex is a good example
sex education and access to contraception is better than ever before yet the morons still dont use it contributing to one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in europe.
obviously some of that is deluded teens trying to get benefits.
People jump into serious relationships too early just the same hence 45% divorce rate!

your missing the point mate he's right because say tables were turned and he'd left his wife and kids and met someone else with child and ex was left alone dependant on that money why should she accept less money because he's moving on with his life??

On the time you have to pay for them, I discovered with my oldest that it is 25 if they stay in full time education! And me and his mum are still together, and he still lives at home!
Well work this out, my excuse of a biological father should be paying CSA however, due to him being a cunt, he manages to find every loop hole in the system. From taking time off work for Apparent injuries to paying more into a pension. Hes even has had three more kids to lower his payments (which he told the woman on the phone at the CSA). Hes in over £4500 worth of arrears. Now hows that fair?
To put it blunt, Iain Mac is very right in his views and undoubtable the CSA are very poor at what they do.
Please don't feel like I'm having a personal dig but, you two did have the kid, you both have to provide. Don't expect the CSA to be doing anything soon, They are probably the slowest and poorest company in the world!

i'm not on about providing for them i have done all their lives and will contiune to do so even though i never see them,i'm on about the csa taking extra money straight from my pay which ends up going to other mothers who dont receive a penny from their childrens fathers.why should i pay more to pay for other peoples kids.all i want is my payment changed to the correct amount and either overpaid money back or payments reduced until that money is back .i'm not on about not paying for my kids
