To be fair mate youre not really helping the situation, he only asked if he could get money back, he didnt ask to be put against the wall and shot for something he possibly had no control over in the first place.
your missing the point mate he's right because say tables were turned and he'd left his wife and kids and met someone else with child and ex was left alone dependant on that money why should she accept less money because he's moving on with his life??
