ideas please , i have been making a zetec turbo inlet manifold using a cossy plenum.
the st170 inlet manifold pipes are not straight on no 3 cylinder slightly and out by at least 10mm on number 4 cylinder,so iam struggling to align the manifold.
are all st170 inlets like this? or have i just got a dodgy one?
any ideas on how i could straighten it out?
it just seems to be made from hard plastic.
There all like that I think Lloyd (I'll try and get pictures of mine later).
cheers, thats what i was thinking.i can make it fit due to using silicone hose to attach the parts, but it just doesnt look right, and it may affect the air flow to that cylinder.
Can you not cut the alloy tube and have this welded as to align with the base plate angle.
yes i could do that, but it still wont look right, and i would still have the issue of the air flow to that cylinder
if i cant heat it up and bend it,or cut it and plastic weld it,i may have to make another part using a alloy inlet
i have 2 engines for it mate, 1 n/a with shit loads of nos.
2 turbo engine gt35 ect ect for when the st170 engine goes bang lol.
the plan is to keep increasing the nos level on the st engine untill it hits 550 bhp or fails.its the easiest way to find the limits of a standard engine and replacements are quite cheap.
