Default Car electric prob (help while my car is in bits outside!)

Was going to go for a blast last night, started the car and the near side headlight wouldnt come on, so changed the bulb then checked the fuses. ALl ok. Still no headlight (drivers side working fine)
Decided to give up till this morning as it was too dark.
So today ive taken out both headlights to check the wiring and it all looks fine. If you put main beam on that comes on drivers side but not the near side. So i guess its got to be wiring?
Using a test lamp on the muliplug connectors that go into the back of the headlight unit i am getting it lit on only the grey/black, but on the near side (not working one) i get it lit on the grey/red and also the plain white

Help?!

As both the headlight and main beam are not working, you probably have a problem on the earth side. Not sure where it would be on the saff though - prob somewhere near the light, screwed to the body

Ive found the prob on the near side, its a loose connection on the multiplug as when pushed to one side it all works.
But, now the fookin drivers side has stopped working!
Everything is working on it apart from normal headlight. The main beams are fine, and also the side light
