Default Formatting Hard Drives

Just a quick techie question, i want to re format my hard drive, i know i will lose some info, but will i lose my list in in my favourites in IE, if i do is there a way to save them?

are you using xp? if you are then go into my computer

C: then go to documents and settings open up your user area and there should be a folder called favorites in there. if you copy that off onto a USB drive or something similar and pop them back once youve formatted

You'll loose everything.

Go to c: drive
Find documents and Settings
Find [your name]
Find Favourite file in there
Copy to Stick,Disc or anything EXTERNAL to P.C.

When formatted and new I.E installed
Import Favourites.

xp
Open up intenet explorer/file/import and export/export to a file(tick the boxs) put it on your desktop then save to where ever.

sorry to hijack but another question :

how do i go about formatting a locked drive (ex system drive with most windows files removed)
