vodafone pay as u go internet dongle advice needed

iv just bought a pay as you go dongle on vodafone for internet access, i was told in store i will get 100 hours of internet access with the £15 top up which gave me 3gb.
iv been online for about 2 hours and its already used £3 of my credit, i havnt been downloading anything only web browsing.
can any1 give me any advice on this? thanks

my dad uses his and it lasts absolutly ages, think he has it on the slower setting, none 3g or something because he lives out in the sticks and doesn't get a great signal

hiya mate sorry to hear about the credit on your dongle me and my girlfriend also have a dongle but we use tmobile which when we bought it was told there isnt any contract ie no time limit on credit etc but when using it you have to add credit before which is on a timer so if you dont use it for a day you lose a days time in credit so in that sense you are tied down to a contract as you have a period of time the credit must be used by which we were not made aware of at the time of purchase. not only that the connection is crap and decides when it wants to conect or not

mine is on pay as you go, iv spoke to a friend who said it could be because of automatic updates iv now turned these off so hopefully it will solve the problem
