I know they did make an xr4x4 twin turbo auto it was also flint grey, apparntly it was built for a ford exec, my dad nearly bought it about 15 years ago, was half the price of a usual saph cos when we saw it for sale

They probably did make a few specials or even high end mobility cars. Just like the auto xr3i's you can get with power steering

i'd say there is few about.. If someone had gone into the dealer and wanted it auto if they were disabled then they would have done it surely. can't say it would sell very well though.. unless ya have one leg or somat.. lol

Ford did not do them from the factory, it was done by the Ford dealer Hartford motors in Oxford after delivery.

Piece of piss fella, don`t forget back then bits were mega plentiful and scrappies were full of Saffy`s....

The only awkward bit was sourcing the 9 bolt flexplate, i was initially going to have them custom made but a mate of mine who worked for Ford of Europe found me some

there was loads of regular saffy`s in the scrappies then, and plenty of written off cossies too, especially 2wd ones after every spell of bad weather

You cant tow a car that weighs the same as the car your towing it with. The vehicle your towing with has to weigh more than the trailer and the vehicle that is getting towed. I think thats right anyway.
