wiper relay
can anyone please tell me where the wiper relay is on my sapphire i know it is in the fuse box but dont know which one my wipers have stoped returning to the bottom when turned off and the intermitent no longer works at all

Yes just look for one that has wisch interval steurgerat on it, all the wiper functions, even on go through the unit, which is the timer.
These can be modded by fitment of an alternative that wipes for 4-5 wipes after the wash is operated, ie so you just press wash and it does the wipers for you.

cheers i have found it a big red one will get a new one tomorrow and try it hopfully it will be that as i have cleaned all the earths just in case

If they stop where they are, check for the permanent live supply at the connector on the wiper motor, this is what supplies current after switch off.
If that is ok take apart the wiper mech on the motor, you will see a nylon wheel about 32 in diametre that turns with the arm, this has a dip in it where the switch rests when stopped(it cuts the circuit), check the wires have not broken on this.
This will be found behind the cover that is attached with rivetts, just use tie wraps afterwards with sealant around the edges to seal.
