Totally nothing to do with Ford.
Im considering changing my small van, and I'm tempted by a Doblo.
Chances are I'd have to travel to the mainland to find one though, as they're few and far between here.
Now in my mind...everything Italian is scrap, same with French cars. French maybe being worse...
But...the vans look ok...and seems to be the biggest small van about. Handy with 2 sliding doors as well.
Anyone any info on them ? Something around the £2k mark, 1.9 version, as the 1.7Di Vauxhall Combo I have at present is the slowest thing Ive ever driven and its starting to drive me insane.
Are they worth buying, or are they scrap ? And how hard are they on fuel. I dont drive hard.
Vauxhall, as slow as it may be isnt hard to get over 50mpg

it depends, i was at a mates garage recently and they he was having massive problems with one major electrical, in the end it was sold for pennies.
i would go with something like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORD-TRANSIT-C...item230480b51b

The 1.9 engine in the older doblo,s where a fiat engine, the same as what was in the multipla,s and the stilo,s.The newer 1.3 is the same as a vauxhall combo, they are a bit thursty on fuel. When i used to work on fiat a few years ago i will be honest the 1.9s were spot on.

i had one for 4 years. nothing but trouble from the window popping when winding down, the backdoors not opening cause it has too much plastic for the opening mech. i cracked the head on it.
other than that its not a bad van... but slow as shit lol

steer clear from the 1.3 multijet diesel version atleast. too much hassle, when they go wrong ![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
we work on a few of them, and had a couple needing diagnostics which we could'nt suss and neither could the dealers!
