can't say for deffo with mk3's cos i only have ever had about 40-50 mk3's so i'm no expert but i have had hundreds of mk2's and the mk2 shell was the same for a std car or a xr2,you drilled the holes in yourself.

mk1's were different obviously the quickest way of telling was the hump in the back panel for the 13" spare wheel.

i know where this sits and have seen the shell... tbh you could make it anything you want but all i know is that its a brand new MK3 shell, more than likely a FRST shell with the stuff that the lad deals in.

well put it this way alot less than you would pay for somebody to weld a car front to back and replace all the panels and at least u know if u build it out a new shell it will be rite and when sealed up correctly will last forever

hes starting with getting it rolling then sourcing all the clips etc it needs for it then it will get painted and will be an on going project just sourcing all the new parts needed first

As Cozzfather says, the service shells were std items without holes for bodykit. The only difference was if it was with a sunroof or not or whether you wanted closures or not. As for its value, its worth whatever people want to at the time. Ive got two new Mk3 shells, one was 900 and one was considerably less!

cossfather isnt 100% correct about the mk2, the xr2 model had a bulge in the rear panel for a larger spare wheel (different panel) and rolled rear arches from the factory, also to accommodate the wheels.
