I 'd go t34.63 m8 speak to vince at cr turbos. 400 hp is a shite figure to go for go for 380 with the above turbo or 400 + with t38,t4 or gt30 etc.

Dave, please dont feed the trolls it only encourages them was your car that you enjoyed owning and then IMHO knew when to get out before it became more or a money pit without becoming more fun as well, no one's business but your own.

id stick with a T34.63 and 380 ish bhp, relatively cheap, reliable and doesnt need thousands spent on transmission if your sensible.

If youve got money to burn then a fancy turbo etc and get 430 plus bhp.

I definately agree that the step between 380 and 400 is of no real noticeable difference to drive, but significantly harder to achieve.

the difference between 380 and 400 is the bumper of the 400 in front of the 380 and thats how it stays. Not worth the extra aggro of trying to achieve it

GT28 will do 400bhp on the right spec engine very little lag infact i dought if any other turbo will be better on the lag front only problem being it will run out off puff at about 6500 rpm so as long as thats not a problem then that is what i would go for

my own4x4 saff running 380 i have to say runs faultless and has not had a pound spent on it in 20 months except a oil change and a new set of wheels and tyres [by choice]
however the gearbox was shotpeened and again no issues.it was livemapped by msd and has a real nice powerband .the only thing id say is the .63 is a bit laggy .

cheers james

my t534 0.63 made 406bhp and just as much torque - this was on a harvey gibbs 400/400 engine.

I had to replaced the turbo almost every 18 months tho - but was fun
