Default who else is stuck then?

I am

Got a little slope/hill leading out of the estate to the main road and it's not been gritted, and I'm fucked if I can get up it! I've tried 1st, 2nd, even 3rd (stalled), letting air out the tyre, no throttle at all, yet it pulls for about a foot and then just sits there spinning

Course, the boss thinks I'm milking it

Not tried yet.

Got a hill at the end of our road, the gritter doesnt go down it, or on our road so its usually fun.

Sometimes an old biddy who lives on it does get out with the grit though but not always. Fingers crossed.

I took 20 minutes of wheelspin in a front automatic wheel drive car getting up the hill at the end of Scarborough seafront going to Cayton, every single car passed me without problem, seems fwd and auto not a good mix on 50 series tyres!

It's ridiculous isn't it - it snows more or less every year but as soon as a few mm hit the floor, the country goes nuts! Watching the news this morning there's airports shut, people sleeping in cars overnight, people abandoning cars - pandemonium!

To be fair (to me), this is the first time in YEARS I've got stuck. Last year (or was is Jan this year?) when we had the really deep snow, I still got to work no problem - too a little longer but I made it. This year we had half as much snow and I was beached! I blame all the tosspots who sit there revving the nuts off the car spinning the wheels, which compacts and smooths the snow into ice, making my hill/slope a glacier

When I was standing outside about 9 talking to the neighbour, two women were sitting there going nowhere with speedo's reading about 50mph! One of em was bouncing her Megane off the rev limiter so hard and for so long I thought she was gonna pop the valve springs right out the top of the head! The other, in a Galaxy, was just flooring it so much it was billowing smoke off the tyres and out the zorst - even after we told her to put it in second and clutch it out!

And to top it all off a 20yr old Land Rover Defender come sailing past with minimal effort thanks to it's 4WD and proper chunky tyres

I got out just before 12 after the council turned up in a Transit and two guys chucking grit and salt out of it. Then laughed as it got stuck aswell

Parked up the top of the hill on the main road tonight, just incase!

Not had a problem, got where ive needed to get to, had to do a U turn on the A12 last night as loads of muppets had got stuck on the hill.

Not sure if its the cars or the drivers that are the problem.

Defently RWD is not the way to go in weather like this.

Mrs went out for her xmas do, re-arranged her taxi to pick them up at 11, quater past and no cab so she bells them and get's told "sorry love, we're struggling to get cars out and about, your best off making your own way home" so I get's me mum round at midnight to look after the nipper and set's off in our diesel c-max and fuck me what a mission. For a simple 15 min round trip it took me an hour and a half. Kent Police shut the 2 main routes to the M2 and put Maidstone in a total gridlock. Half the problem is people making such hard work driving normall that they were fucking useless last night My boss couldn't get to work this morning and after a long chat he said best I stay indoors and I get paid for it. To be fair tho, one of my old engineers left Ashford in Kent and 7am and didn't get home till 2pm and that was a 40 mile round trip

I live at the top of a bloody big hill so there was no chance of me getting out this morning To leave mine I have to drive uphill (that hasn't been gritted) then down a very steep hill that also hasn't been gritted It's daft because it cuts off a huge part of the area and the A40 is within sight

I worked from home today instead.
