Default RS2000 Engine

Planning on doing a engine swap.

I have a Mk5 Fiesta Zetec will a RS2000 engine bolt straight to the fiesta gearbox?

Or would the fiesta driveshafts fit the RS2000 box?

why not put a 2.0 zetec in there? or a duratec or the 1.7 puma engine that seems to go very well?

Is your car a zetec or a ZS?

I agree just stay with zetec imo- why Rs2000? have you acquired one already?
I don't think the rs2k engine will slot straight in.

its been done before and isnt the easiest of conversions, pop a 2.0 zetec in there much easier and better tuning for future.

Mr Banton, the 2.0 zetec is also not easy in a mk5 ( mk4 facelift actually if anyone cares )

Easiest thing to do is tune the existing 1.6. Can do 150bhp from it for under Ł1500 and I'll bet he has the exhaust already

Shawspeed ss4 cams
4-2-1 Mnifold
Rod end bolts and valve springs ( not entirely necessary unless you want to go a lot further )
remap

150bhp Simples, its proven, time and time again and cheap for a 50% increase on a NA engine

sell the rs2k engine
fit a bigger one from the same range you've already got
lighter, shorter, smaller, more tunable, everyones a winner

I have ShawSpeed cams in mine, very good cams if you get them set up right and mapped properly too!

I'd like to do a 2.0 Duratec converstion at some point though.
