for the 2nd yer running he's given me a fractured scaffoid so in plaster again,,,, GRRRRR!!!!!!!

how do you fracture your scaffold ? cant you just replace the tubes ?

Done mine earlier in the year - took the hospital 4 weeks to tell me though! 6 weeks in plaster

Tell you what it's still not right like

playing football, done a sliding tackle an hit ice as i went to push myself up and body carried on sliding snapping wrist back .

ya wimp! i spend most of the year with both mine fractured/badly bruised from rugby and constantly dislocating my thumbs lol that or snapped finger/hands (is that metacarpuls?) etc, never had a plaster tho, snap things back myself bit of electrical tape and its a goodun...might explain my arthritic hands and bent fingers tho

either way they are a nuisence as they alays ache and have no strength in thumb! i find using tape before a game to suppor the base of your thumb helps (elec tape again! great stuff!)

surely if u pop it back its not a fracture? well not a proper break?

sorry was on about dislocations, or my finger breaking and me realigning it myself then suported with the tape suppose iv been lucky as its only my little finger iv lost movement with...not adviseable but im not one to be in a cast...they called the police when i left with my broken hand (i was on my motorbike at the time) and the police called my house and said if i was seen riding it my insurance would be void. horses for corses i suppose but im good at getting by with buggerd limbs, iv got enough of them! lol

I broke my scaphoid 7 years ago, ive had it in plaster cast numerous times, then had a vascular bone graft......

Mines still broken!

wrist have been aggony the next day so have had to go hosp as stops me sleeping etc

I assume you are aware that without a graft there is NO way that bone will heal! They often advise you not to have it operated on but its the only way to increase strength in it!

I wish id have had a graft when i first did mine but was advised against it (by the hospital!!), I had my graft 5 years after the initial break and therefore made it very hard to heal it! Mines about as good as it will be now, but still feels fucked at times!

Its a proper shit one to break!

i done my right scaffoid nov 08 and was 3 months in plaster and healed perfect and never causes trouble it also took a harsh bend when i broke this one lst night lol. xray showed that healed though
