Default Driving Instructors

How do you make a complaint about a driving instructor? Not a complaint about their teaching, more their conduct on the road. I had a learner pull out in front of me on a roundabout this morning, nearly drove into them, so I tooted, and got given the finger by the instructor, then the w*nker hand signal. Had to follow them along the road, next roundabout they slowed to a crawl all the way round it, more hand 'signals', then we came upto some temp lights, they stopped so hard, think emergency stop, I nearly drove into them again. So I went to get out and have a word, saw it was a female instructor and thought better of it, got given more hand signals, then they drove off. I'm not going to complain to the driving school as its a 1 man band sort of thing and don't think I'd get anywhere, I've had a look online for how to complain to the DSA but cant find much about it.

Felt like it, but wouldn't have looked too good. I think she was going to get out and say something but changed her mind when she found hersellf looking up at a 6'4 bloke...

If I find myself behind a driving school car I tend to give them a wide berth because the drivers aren't qualified yet, and I suspect that they will take the wrong line, give an incorrect signal, or do an unexpected emergency stop for no apparent reason.

Your horn is to give a warning of your presence, not to reprimand someone, so I think I'd have given you some hand-signals too.

And then ran away!!!!

Yeah, but pulling out in front of someone on a roundabout, when they'd been waiting for a gap, I was indicating and was already on the roundabout. What happened to giving way to the right?
I've started the ball rolling for a complaint, rang the DSA and have got to put my complaint in writing.

I wasn't 'reprimanding' anyone, just letting them know I was there, which had they been looking, they might have seen and not pulled out. So to get a load of grief for what is their mistake, takes the piss.

Learners make mistakes - it's what they do. Some go on to learn from them, and others don't.

The instructor maybe shouldn't have been giving the hand signals but, she may have had a shitty day or been sitting with the pupil from hell. That maybe doesn't excuse her behaviour, but it may help make it more understandable.

For me, there are bigger things to worry about on a daily basis than someone making rude gestures, driving badly, or even setting a bad example to younger/newer drivers, and I think you should forget about it.

learners drive as slow as s**t i just blast past them when the road is clear but heh we all need to learn sometime. The instructor should have been looking as to what was coming also and applied her brakes if she didn't think there was a big enough gap.
She was probably putting on her make up or something.
