Danny have you built an engine with a roller T4 and Hart plenum, looking at the prices you listed a T4 would work out around the same as a Gt30 time you mod the manifold,external wastegate....
If i was to ever do it again i would be going to Tony or SCS as there two builders that have tried and tested packages.

Does ANY tuner honestly give a warranty? Not hard to get out of a warranty claim in anycase is it?! Blame the customer normally works LOL.

yes& i one of them dannyrebuilt my old 360hp engine after i melted it drag racing i already had the head done but running t34 he rebuilt it using a mountune cooper ringed long studded 200 block cosworth forged pistons fully lightened ,balanced new high pressure oil pump all bolts plated motor painted fitted with a brand new t4 engine dynoed at field motorsport it made 500.5bhp & 420 ft lbs delivered to my door looking like new for Ł4000 & it pulls like a train & quiet regularly see,s 8500rpm (i also already had carillo h beam rods )so thank you danny & luke .forgot to mention that was at 24psi boost so loads more to come it used to run 40+psi .

is the gt30 the same as a t4?i mean in terms of how much power it can produce?internally wastegated etc

i bought the divas old escos and i put the roller t4 on that with st inlet and 83 lbers
i like t4s as iv said but find the gt30 much nicer from a lower rpm and hence better to drive also you then have a seperate waste gate wich is far supperior to a piece of shit actuator and better to control boost...

Amazing stuff so we now got it down to 4k = 500bhp

What will 6.5k engine produce ??????

if someone is determined to go low comp then il go 7.7-7.8 i used to go down to 7.2 years ago but around std cr i find the best so i try and stick to 8.0.1 or 8.1..

obviously CR will limit how much boost/advance you can run....unless on higher octane fuel

thats true but look at rods/dave yum,theyve both run 36+psi on thier higher cr lumps so not always the case...

inside of these big hp engines is nothing special, i have had a couple of SCS motor apart, yes they do the business, produce the goods and do what the customer asked, so why people would want to spend more than they have to to get the results i do not know.

buyinging a apart from me or from a well known tuner does not make it more reliable.

also paying more does very rarely give you more.

oh and i would love to drag a few very old posts up, maybe like 5/6 years ago, when I was running high comp engines (in public - ran my first 400hp 9.0:1 about 10 years ago) looks like your catching up eventually 500hp on 8.6 though that had to be on 7.5

its a shame because the owner hasnt given us any funds so nothing happening...
the engine spec was going to be a nikasil block high cr strocker kit 2180 cc big port head solid lifters 11.5mm lift inlet cam 10mm ex
hart plenum borg warner turbo rs 200 wastegate f88 rs life racing management and custom loom etc mapped on race fuel
might still build the lump for something when iv got some spare cash..lol..

any decent builder should know the details of what it takes to get to a certain level of tune etc..

an engine build is an engine build...everything is measured up the same etc...

imo, its all down to the mapping that makes the engine good and reliable.
