Default Kwick Fit Shitters

Had some tyres fitted by the above and they've basically smashed the recess where the centre cap fits on the wheel on my brand new compomotive cxt! I didn't notice it untill now 2 days later when the caps arrived and I went to fit them.

What should I do? I've kept the reciept and I just want to go up there and kick off but what should I do, file a small claims form? I have no idea. Just pissed off that I paid £850 for some wheels and one ruined already!

Thanks

I know its too late now, but never use kwik sh*t. Theyre a bunch of retards.
However, I would try for a small claims, its just going to be alot of hassle trying to prove that they did the damage.

Going from my own personal experiences I wouldn't trust them to check the tyre pressure on a wheelbarrow. Had nothing bit grief from every single one I've had dealings with.

I had one attempt to adjust the tracking on my Series 2 (I would have done it myself but it was Saturday and the garage I worked for was closed) and it took them 4 attempts on the same day then told me it was impossible due the car being slightly lowered and refused to give my money back as they 'tried'. I just parked on their 4 poster and locked the car until I got my dough back!

I adjusted it on Monday lunchtime perfectly in 10 mins!

Hope you get your wheels sorted mate.

Bunch of w@nkers Kwit sh!t are I took my escort rs2000 to them as the tracking went out I was thinking that maybe a bottom arm was on the way out but thought when they track it they should be able to tell me for sure. Anyway they took it in did the tracking said everything was sweet. I was going on holiday the next day in the car so drove it around 200miles gets out at the services and both my brand new 17inch kumho tyres on the front are down to the wire. They had tracked both front wheels pointing like this / \ . So I had to limp home and go down and kick off no joy only after i threatned legal action they said they would give me a new exhaust at cost price I told them to fu@k off and that they werent touching my car again after the shambles of a job they did before. Also a mate went down there with a standard vauxall astra 16inch standard alloys took them 2 hours to change a tyre..... Unfortunatley I had the same problems with them mate you will get nothing from them. Just pay for it yourself and tell everyone you know to never use them. Not sure where they get the numptys from that work at these places but everyone I speak to anywhere in the country says there awful.

Well went down there, spoke to some of the guys there and the manager without speaking to anyone comes out and goes to the EXACT wheel that was damaged. Then claims the guy that fitted them wasn't working today. And they would phone me tomorrow.

Any information that can be given from a legal standpoint would be great, I don't care if it costs money to do so as it's not the point. Clearly they knew they had damaged the wheel but just carried on and let me drive off on it without saying anything. What a Joke.

Just wish I went to Pro Tyre but as Kwick Shit were down the road and I needed it done asap I went ahead.

I guess the way to do it in future, is get them to sign a disclaimer that the wheels look undamaged when you drop it off, and then you check them when you collect it if your wheels are high value.

Feck all use to you now though I realise, just mentioning it for anyone else reading the thread as a suggestion before they do the same!

Too right, a friend of mine used to work at bathwick tyres near me, the way he was taught to do things and the way he was taught to scam people was fucking unbeleiveable!

I have all my work done at a small local independant garage near me that I've used for years. Things like tyres etc I will pay a few quid more for there than places like quick shit etc, but at least I know it'll be done properly as their reputation is the only thing that keeps them in business these days.
