Thinking of putting a 2.0 16v zetec engine into a mk3\mk4 Escort. Going to tune the zetec with Throttle Bodies, Piper Ultimate Cams, Ported Head, 4-2-1 exhaust manifold and of course OMEX management to get to the 200bhp, not sure what the torque figure will be. My question is, will the BC box be able to cope with this, not as if the torque figure will be massive? This will be a track car so will be driven in anger. Also, anyone fitted an MTX75 to the mk3/4 bodyshell?

 

rebuilt standard box aka cts stage1 or 2 would be fine for that i'd imagine. I run 250bhp turbo'd cvh for track use and the stage 2 has been fine, as you say won't be massive torque or hitting in like like a turbo'd car.
