Did it turn to shite? If so why? I looked at it earlier and was enjoying reading the graphs and discussion. Hour or two later and it's gone

Graph looked bloody lovely, and was good to see the car was running decent power even on mild boost. AFR plot was sweet too

The post was always going to turn to shit and get deleted, engine for sale, rolling up in 3rd gear, "only" making 600 odd bhp, done in private, the list is endless. This is a tuners forum or hadn't you guessed

I disagree on the box sale, as a short blast on a rolling road is hardly a major test of a gearbox. Maybe Yum should do a full track day? LOL!

This box has lasted Daddy Trash many many launches, Santa Pod same again, my feature at Brunters and was getting to 60 in 3.6

So really this box has been tested, also been on silverstone and Donninton this year

like i said before, when someone else has spent the money they can tell us what they did, but seeing as only dave and rod have, as far as i am aware, there may be others, no one else can really see the story from their point of view

not to say that others haven't spent lots of money maknig engines with lots of power, i'm only refering to marks engines here

and i'm sure that chpi has had a hand in doing lots of helping out with daves engine so it's fairly easy to see why he's backing dave and daves choice of tuner

Am i not allowed my opinion on the subject ? who ever wrote this car is like a episode of emmerdale wasnt far wrong . Helen dont ever sit & wonder why yous get slagged about this car because its the way yous go on about it.

 

For just over 3.5k its a great box and l have never said any diffrent to that apart from 1 TIME and that was down the the input shaft, but went back to the standard one and has lasted the job

Now l really didnt want to spend 10k on the gearbox so this was the best for 3.5k

The threads about yum of late were always turning to crap because the manner they were posted in but then again its like some of rod's threads inviting ppl to dyno sessions ect must be a mad thing! something in the tea down that way perhaps.. Yes Bara got some made up input shafts made and as far as l know they have failed, Now im sure Bara has spoken to the company that made them


Bara was the best option to me under 4k in the car unlike a ffd at 10k+ and thats not fitted in the car

Agree with Dojj, the owners of these car spent THEIR money on developing a car, if they choose to stop and persue other interest then thats upto them, and a wise decision in my opinion. It's all very well and true dictating on here what people should do but your not the one that has to pay for it, this is why I choose not to build a ridiculous power car. Good luck to Dave & Helen, i hope they start enjoying themselves more now that they don't have the burdon of an extremely expensive hobby hanging over their head.
