YUM post?
Agree with Dojj, the owners of these car spent THEIR money on developing a car, if they choose to stop and persue other interest then thats upto them, and a wise decision in my opinion. It's all very well and true dictating on here what people should do but your not the one that has to pay for it, this is why I choose not to build a ridiculous power car. Good luck to Dave & Helen, i hope they start enjoying themselves more now that they don't have the burdon of an extremely expensive hobby hanging over their head.
Thank You Rog, looking forward to the Evo

Oh wow are we really talkign about engine's, I thouight we were talking about handbags and make-up, silly me
Carlo does not know us, but it dont stop him from giving his opinion, so I'm having mine, nothing wrong with that is there?
Dont let the door whack you on the way out.....
No we are really not that sad.....

Disappointed.
More to the point, why arent the mods moving posts full of arguing to the "spat your dummy room" which gold members pay to have access to so that if they wish to read a post that has gone to shit they still can.
Surely thats the WHOLE point of that room existing, for posts like that?

Andrew & charlie = 2 going back to the original binned post there were more than just scottish lads going on about the cloak & dagger shit about yum & why it didnt run on the reyland rollers remember thats what started all this. Dave saying he didnt want to risk the box ect. Even tho the box was paid for by 3 members on here 2 wernt scottish.
Thats not what he is saying it it, but after all you seem to go on and on and on like a broken record about the MAD lot being so far up Mark's arse.
But all I see in your post's is how far you are up Andy G's arse (Btw I have nothing against Andy G, I actually like is car a lot!)

well to be honest, it´s not THAT dificult to make a genuine 600+bhp engine, is hard to get it to hold together and make a usable engine all together, and it looks like yum´s engine is that, even that we havent seen that much to it
nope but to truly understand the reason why dave has made the choices he has IMO yes you need to.
its easy to say id run it up bla bla, but untill your in that situation there is no reason to really know

Helen keep it up & i will start slagging you! your taking this thread in a different direction to the first binned thread.
Genuine question look at it this way if it the shoe was on the other foot & a scs customer bottled taking his car on a rolling road in public then took it elsewhere & posted results up (even tho it never proved anything we didnt know) yous would have done the same!
if yum spilled its guts the other day who thinks dave would have posted saying it had failed? defo not

All the rest ? andy charlie & me , if you could see the first post there were more than just us not all scottish.. Fuck knows who cossiemaster is he just likes to stir.
No point going on and on at Carlo, he really dont get it, after all its not him that would stand to lose money if the gearbox went bang on the RR if we put the boost up.
I'm kinda happy I got to be able to rag around in a 600+ bhp Escort Cossie, not many girls would get to do that, and not many blokes either

doesn't Aly have a 600bhp fiesta mk6?
I'm being completely neutral here but Helen it seems to me like your instigating alot of this "turning threads to shit" stuff, whats the problem?
I thought this forum was for Adults - but withyou lot squabling all the time it's like a bloody kindergarden in here
PassionCresh FTW!

Helen i agree im totally fed up with it all now took a while. But if you think you have something over me because you have drove a 600bhp escos well you havent. I have had a good few cars over the past 10 years not 600bhp but i could have easily had one if i wanted the money i have spent/lost.
The 706bhp engine dyno figure from Charlie's car - has it been put on a set of DD rollers to see what it has in the car?

Dave has an engine dyno figure of 700+ bhp @ 2.6 bar, so why is it hard to believe the figure of 600+ bhp @ 1.9 bar - the turbo is certainly big enough.
I think 600+ bhp is pretty respectible - it was certainly enough for the last engine in YUM to achieve 194mph. It is therefore fair to summise that providing conditions were favourable, the gearing and rev limit set correctly that it would achieve 200mph if it was set up to full boost. Martin's car did 202mph with 700bhp, they are the same shell etc.....
The only question is, would it have beaten Martin's speed? As 200.1mph would be enough to claim the double tonne (which Martin went back and did, as his 199mph run wasn't considered good enough by him (or anyone else
). But despite what you may think, there is a huge difference in achieving 200.1mph and 202mph, that could cost an engine OR a life. Is it really worth putting EVEYTHING on the line to appease people on the internet, you may not even know or like?
I think not, so while eveything is perfect - NOW is the time to sell / break the car.....

Been trying to get a tuner shoot out for months, but it didnt happen and no it was not my fault
As for going to Martins thats not going to happen have sold over half the parts of YUM now as people have paid now
Even it the owners who have bought the parts would wait, l still dont think the box would survive as im sure 700+ would have some effect on it
Cheers

Cheers Mike couldnt say it better myself
There are some fantasic cars on this forum, built by MAD, SCS, AG, Reyland etc and they're all good in their own right for what they're built to do! Shame not everyone can get on but thats life. It makes for a bloody good read!!!
