Is this racist? Is it b****x!
My daughter has a school trip tomorrow to see a Seek Temple, that I don't mind at all but they have made the parents pay £5 per child for the privalidge.
Apaprently it's for the cost of the coach, well I told the Mrs not to pay as it's voluntary but she said she's paid already which pissed me off slightly.
I've never in my life seen a coach load of Muslim school kids take a trip to a church have you?
One of the childrens mothers said it'd be seen as racisum if parents didn't pay which has pissed me off even more that we've paid.
Rant over.

I remember going to a church when i was in primary. They didn't charge us if i remember

I wouldn't see it as racist, just personal choice. I wouldn't send my children either but thats my choice. I'm sure plenty of other parents from various religions would say the same but might struggle to say why as your only really allowed an opinion these days if it fits in with the current wave of political correctness, not how you might want to raise your own kids

if you dont want your child to go dont allow them to go. its not hard to make your choice.
when i was at school in the 70's we visited a local church . i cant remember if we had to pay for the horse and cart though.

OK, Sikh, I'm not the best at spelling in the world fella, but wont jump on the dyslexic bandwagon as other seem to with the PC crap.
I don't mind her going as it's educational, it's the charging her, us for it that gets to me.

Its spelt Sikh not Seek. [I'm not saying you spelt it wrong on purpose im just correcting you]
Sikhism is from India, Muslims are from Pakistan and other Arab countries, so don't think sikhs are muslims they are two different religions.
There arn't many muslims schools and the ones that do exsist I'm guessing that they dont look at other religions you're probly right in that sense..
Its not racism for paying or not paying. Schools pay for coaches out of the funds they get from the government if they have to pay £3-400 for a coach to cover costs and put that money elsewhere in a school then don't you see why they'd ask for £5.

Mate i go to whatever holy places. Although i'm not a believer in god or religion, i still find holy temples, churches, gurdwaras etc etc etc, fascinating. I flew to India with my ex fiance in 2007 to see a Assyrian Church.
Is all good aslong as no one trys to make me one of them

I always thought suicide bombers are any crazy mofo that wants to blow himself up, regardless of religous inclination lol
I also think all religions are daft as fook and as such wouldn't send my kids to any church, mosque, synagogue (sp) etc, unless they wanted to of course as thats their choice

Muslim school actually have a really good understanding of other religions especially christianity becuase we both share the belief in Jesus (although they are abit different lol)
