i remember that movie, one of those low budget british films that are exellent because they are exactly that.

Although to be fair, you couldnt really spend more on the budget anyway. you couldnt spend more on special effects, sets etc And you wouldnt want any other actors really as they "fit" the roles perfectly IMO.

Its the usual shotgun to engine, fuel spill explodes, setting car on fire film gag.

A car probably would catch fire like that but i doubt thered be the dramatic explosion!! Just ignition of the fuel when it sprays on the exhaust manifold!!
