Yeah as above, you could get real player and just download the video, but the quality of the audio would be pretty poor straight from youtube.

You could try Limewire or the like? Just make sure you've got good antivirus software, and only download stuff that definitely looks like it's a song.

I use www.listentoyoutube.com it works well, but only rips at 64kbps , not so ok ish.

if anyone knows a simple to use one that rips at 128kbps or more post away

simply just write kick infront of the youtube link.
ex: www.youtube.com/videoetcetcetc -> www.kickyoutube.com/videoetcetcetc

Then you get a selection on the top, choose mp3 and go. Right-click when it says down and save as.
