Default what wheels for a black rs500? pictures?

what wheels look good on a rs500? i would like some cnx's but they never come along second hand. i've been quoted £1600 plus vat for them new plus tyres
my standard wheels have the dunlop d40 tyres on them so i don't want to use them.
what other wheels, what colour look good on a black rs500? pictures if you have them

I have what in my opinion look slightly better then cxn's due to there offset and width.

Genuine BMW BBS alloys.

Have been a nightmare to get them to fit under big brakes front and rear and cost a small fortune due to having them refurbed, new tyres, 5x120 hubs etc,
a complete nightmare but will be worth in the end.

Should be finished this week, here is a pic taken during mock up.

they do look really really nice, but would it not be cheaper to buy cnx's?

have you got any pics now those BBS rims are on? Nice to see something slightly different and they look lovely.

If you can find some second hand CXN's, expect to pay as new prices for them anyhow. I've never ever seen a set go cheap, especially the old style.

Original BBS splits in Ford fitment are even more expensive then CXN's normally. IF you do see a set on ebay they go for 2K+ mostly.

Yes mate it cost about the same buying a new set of cxn's to be honest, but I couldnt get the cxn's to clear 330 4 pot ap's and 300mm rears, also the dish just wasnt wide enough.
The BBS wheels just have a stealthier look imo.

Will have them finished this week hopefully then get some proper pics.

Heres another 1 during mock up

Really, when I called compomotive they said they where unsure and could not guarantee fitment.
I prefer the BBS anyway to be honest.

More to the point B13 JUS get some pics up of your 500, maybe somebody can do a photoshop for you.

2 more.

To be honest compomotive are totally usless when it comes to advice on fitments etc , plus the woman who answers the phone has a serious attitude problem

You better of talking to Martin hadland to be honest , he will tell you whats what with compomotive wheels

CXN"s can be a bit of a nightmare tho to get them right

I tried out the BMW BBS wheels on my 4x4 3dr, even had the hubs modified, but broke it instead the hubs are still sat in my shed

Tried two types, the more traditional ones which I prefer

and the later ones which are a bit more like the LMs

i had a wooden mock up wheel made to make sure these would fit. The centres are custom made to your requirements too as the brakes clearance was important. the rear suspension moving in an arc helps too, the pic shows the coil overs set quite high.

no ebayed them last year when I bought my centre locks, they are a nice wheel, came off a 328 I think, the same style ones with the wider dish are from the 5 series and the ones with a huge dish are off the 8 series, usually loads on ebay needing a refurb
