It's the people who don't realise that Blackpoo Prom is wide enough for 3 abreast sometimes that hold people up. Sitting behind the horse before they get an open ended invitation from the person 'driving' the horse.

The horses on the prom are rock solid, a straight overtake and they don't even bat an eyelid.

What does slow the traffic down in Blackpool is the stupid roadworks they make us live with when all the tourists go home.

Im shocked that she didnt say sorry or offer cash or anything, i mean i know you will get it but thats not the point.

That would be costly to fix by the looks of it.

The girl may well have been scarred but does that justify her not dismounting and checking the horse over ??? even if it is just a 'fucking horse' does it not feel pain ????

hmmmmmmmmmm shame it wasn't your shitty car then wasn't it

So if a horse fell on your car you'd be perfectly fine about it because 'its insured'?

Update:
Insurnace asseser is comiong out in the morning so we will know what is going on by lunch time
Either way it will be fixed as it only needs a pair of Doors
Either the insurance will get it done or we will get a 2k payout and keep the car and buy a couple of doors

It's just done the same to me!

I view them in the same basket as mobility scooters. No place on the pavement or the road. And generally ridden by utter tossers

I skimmed through everyone getting thier knickers in a twist so forgive me if i missed it, but is there no come back for you on this??

The girl in question sounds a cunt and i'd still be abusing her if it was me. I just can't see how they are not responsible for it??

Yes its an animal.... but so is my dog, how is it an excuse for them running wild? I'm responsible for my animal, i pay monthly on an insurance policy for her which has a multi-million public liabilty cover, court costs, etc etc etc. (fuck knows how much shit she would have to start for me to need it, but it's there)

If i'm doing that for a dog, how is it possible to be allowed on the streets with a horse? How can they escape the "claim culture"

As for people saying ram the horse and the like, get a fuckin' grip!

They can not escape it Neil, l strongly beleive that they would by law be required to have some form of third party liability

That's what you'd hope mate....has to be!

Fuck me, imagine walking across a field with a young nephew or child etc, having some snotty cunt with a wild horse smash into them and be told "it's what horses do" LIVID!

Fuck that, i'd be burning the cunts house down and standing outside with a smile saying "oh, sorry, that's what Mancunians do"

Crazy! There MUST be some sort of comeback, a horse is a big 'ol lump to just have roaming around conscience free.

AFAIK it is not a legal requirement to wear hi-viz or be insured to ride on the roads, it is legal to ride two a breast. But to be honest just how often do you actually see horse riders on the roads? (Maybe a bit more often on rural roads).

I always wear hi-viz as I want cars to see me in advanced, ride single file, always pull over when can (as its country lanes to get to the offroading I ride, people use the lanes as a rat run short cut, its not a 'main road' of any means, some of it is even single track) and always thank drivers. Lucky we don't have to go on the lane for very far anyway.
If my horse damaged any property (no matter how good a rider you are they can flip out from time to time) I'd be liable to pay the damage and would certainly feel awful and apologise.

Sounds like this particular lady is giving the bad stereotypical image of riders. Quite possibly it found something in the hedge frightening rather than the car scaring it, in all my years of riding (20+ years) I've never seen something like that happen

Cor you aint wrong there dude
We have been trying to contact her for her insurance as we have her name and address and number but after many attempts we get a rather rude txt back saying that she told the local Police were she lives and said it was not her fault and there is nothing more to be done.
Get back onto my Insurance who have something different to say
We have an independent witnes (Car from behind)who will stand up saying the horse/rider was to blame
Plus the fact that our insurance has aproved the repairs and will be looking to recover there losses and with a witness they will be going after the soppy tart
Lets just hope for her sake she does have insurance or maybe Daddy has deep pockets to the tune of £1600 as thats the repair bill !!!!

Well she DID say that she HAD insurance but was not forthcoming with the details on the grounds that "It was not her fault"

Our Insurance so far has been spot on and very very fast in first getting our car sorted and now are on to the soppy tart.

They constantly call us with updates and its allways been English or should i say British staff

So far i am very impressed with them and how they are dealing with everything. Its in the event of a claim that you realy find out how good your Insurance is
