dose any one know if they work as was on way home last night about 10 and the police was sitting in a layby with a speed gun why would they be doing this if the camera's worked ?

Were the police after the last average speed camera ?, if so would be waiting for pissed off people to boot it a bit ?
Those type of cameras don't involve the police in that way, it's linked to photo EVERY CAR whether speeding or not, and those that are get a ticket through the post, and the bonus and REAL reason is discovered, it's one way police keep track of criminals movements.

They weren't working when they first went in but they are definately working now!

They couldn't prosecute when they were first put in as the picture wasn't clear enough but yes they do work, so stick to the limits

Caz, do they only work between certain hours then? As i use the A127 everyday later in the evening, and every car including myself is doing WELL over the 50 limit.

I dont know, all i know is they definately work, as a couple of my drivers have been caught out by them!

what part of the a127 were they at, as depends where you join as you can sometimes toe it until you reach the first camera you get too

e.g joining from a130 towards london you can go as fast as you want for about a mile until you reach the set before the dick turpin then your in the 70 part anyway

A friend of mine has been done on them. And i work at Audi at Rayleigh Weir and a couple of our customers have also been done so I would say yes they do work. It was common knowledge that they wasnt as successfull as they thought they were going to be

they are a pain in the ar*e, i go up and down there all the time and keep forgetting, i think the A12 will be next.
