barn find
well not so much barn as garrage
i was told by my brothers girlfriend that a bloke accross the road from her nan used to have an escort but it it was still in the garage and haddnt moved for arround 20 years
so tonight i wn to seewhat was there and rather than go asking i poked my bore scope under the door as it was on the main road i didnt see the harm
what met the screen affter getting past loads of spider webs was the pas rear arch of an s1 didnt know what to do so went for a think
went to my mams ad was talking about it and she told me she knew her and that she would see if ts for sale
now the strange thing is that this car is on the estate me and mozza live on and nither of us knew a thing about it all i do know is im going to try and buy this as it will be low millage and should be rustfree as the garage is water tite

Ever heard of fade out spray when doing blow ins? rather than leave a tape line.
Full of orange peel as if theres not enough paint on it, no shine to it, bumper hanging off. did u even mop and polish it?

i tried to make it match the rest of the car that had all been fucked with and was out of colour the laquer some times fades back and needs to be pollished again but as for the bumper how was it hanging off cos it wasnt when it left and he looked round it with me

Yeh fair does if its had paint b4 it can be a pain to match up!
I believe 1 side of the bumper came off because of a damaged bracket/clip and i sorted him a new number plate light which was also damaged.
If half the rear door was blended our eyes wouldnt have picked it up! hes happy thats all that matters its just us fussy cunts at our local bodyshop.

i had to blend into a blend mate
it had had loads of bodge in the back arches and hadnt been blown into the rear doors properly
moonstone is a pain for blow ins and to make it right would have ment painting both sides

its ok lads its just one of those things with painting no paint job is perfect but painters allways slag off other painters all that matters to me is that the customer is happy

i was also told of a place about 2 mile from my house that has 20 mark 2 rs escorts in it and thay belong to one of the wrc rally driver's, one escort is an ex works car from back in the 70's and the driver was well known.....
would be nice to see some pic's of this one

I've got an interesting one, I started the cossie up on Sat in the Garage and an old lady who lives next door but one came over to me. Asked if that was a Cosworth and said she would like me to come look at her late husbands car, she said that it is a Mk1 RS2000 with 12,000 miles on the clock from new.
Apparently he brought it from new and kept it in the garage till he died a few years back.
I will post up when I have been round there, just ain't had time yet.
And you never know these old girls, might be a trap to become a sex slave for her!!
