hi i've lost the keys to my 02 plate renault clio and want to know if i can go to renault and get new ones off the database that will work allready or will i have to get new lock and ignition barrel and then get the immobliser sorted too

thought i'd ask here as i can't ring the dealership up now as there closed

main dealer will need the car and then they'll order new keys and re programme it to suit! IT wont be cheap though!

you will need v5 and utility bills etc to order key, failing that if you can get in the car for a temp issue remove a lock and get a key cut



then there is a failsafe keycode that can be entered manually to overide immobiliser its a 4 digit number, to get it though i would need the code from inside the key and a number from the plate on the door shut howver you have lost key lol, so what i would do is ask renault for the code well pay them a tenner lol, then get a key made form a local locksmiths if its an emergancy, howevber renault will gte you a key for the car ina coupkle days or so but cost will be approx £75
