No good deals with the scrapage bollocks IMO. You have to pay RRP for the car to qualify which you would never pay normally, you are better going in with real money and seeing what they will offer, the proper way to buy a car!

No you don't, that's just a line from a salesman. So long as the car meets the requirements and the dealer/manufacturer is throwing in Ł1000 minimum, the government wedge in the other Ł1000.

i think its mainly for the cheaper/korean cars as i know ford only accept it on limited models (mainly mondeos and focus')

a mate of mines gf went to a suzuki dealer as she wanted to trade her car in for a swift and they werent interested either.

Mates just chopped in his snotty owd Onion for a new Fiat 500 for his missus, even though there is a 4-6 week wait for the Fiat he still got his Ł2k scrappage and another Ł1k off list from the dealership.

The manufacturers who have signed up to scrappage have to offer it on any car in their UK range. We've taken an old van in against a Ł108k car!

They are free to limit their discount to Ł1000 if they choose, but that is just cutting their nose off to spite their face.

What kind of sane person would want to buy a Kia?
