Default Ally rads

Are they actually better for cooling than standard ones?! need to replace mine in the fez and was gonna get a standard replacement, but lookin on ebay someone is selling some that are ally with plastic side tanks. Price is pretty similar to what i was gonna pay for a normal one so IF?! they are better will prob go for one of these but wanted to check first what ppl think!!

im pretty sure they are better at cooling aye! get a custom one off lee or summit n make it as big as possible for extra coolyness

Well to be honest normally would just get a standard one as their only about Ł50, but this one comes to about Ł55 so not much more!!! A custom one im prob lookin at quaduple that price

Ur better off going 4 one that is completly ally, less chance of it leaking.
A lot of the standard ford rads were ally with plastic end caps,a replacement from a motor factors shouldnt be more than Ł60 though

Well ive been quote Ł55 from a local company, just assumed they would use copper cores but doesnt hurt to ask!!!!

Dont really wanna spend too much on something like that thou as its only a 2i not a fez turbo!!!!

Just wanted to check really if the one on ebay was a good idea or not!!

std ford 2i rads were like that ally with plastic tanks

the one in my mk4 fez is also

my FRST and cossie one had a black core with copper fins thoi

Ah right cheers didnt realise, aint a genuine ford one near me but they use the same cores so they say, will ring them and find out!!!

They re-cored my cossie one which had a copper core like yours so assumed they all were!!
