So you were more intrested in your Mobile phone rather than listerning to the lecturer on how and what forces are needed to stop a train that you might be driving???
Hope you never drive a train im on, no matter if its one above the ground or one under.

i dont think you need to find out, this is pretty much what you mean, i posted it nearly a page ago

so lets start over, the train is traveling at 2000mph (as quoted above) the car is traveling at 5mph
so just need to know is the force 'momentum'/ kinetic or are we stopping this train/car so we are talking braking force or are we making these vehicles do these speeds in gerbil power- if so it takes the same amount of gerbils to make a train do the double mil as it does to make a fiesta do 5mph?

A car travelling at 2000mph is the same as a train doing 5mph. The same is the force it would hit you perhaps?

If a train is travelling at 5mph, it would require the same force to stop it as a car travelling at 2000mph would due to the weight difference
EDIT: I TRIED TO DO THAT IN CAPS TO UNLEASH THE FURY BUT PF WOULDNT LET ME
EDIT2: APPARENTLY IT LETS YOU USE CAPS IN EDIT MODE

firstly, speak and type in English.
secondly , no if a car hit you at 2000mph you would just vapourise, where if a train hit you at 5mph you would suffer a nasty bruise before you quickly jumped out of the way.

so is the train hitting us now or are we being run over by the wheels? there is a difference and it does matter!
As you would get a slight bruise from one and the other would slice you up, now which is it?

If the train weighed 1 ton or 50,000 ton it would till have the same outcome at 5mph. the weight is not an issue.(unless you are trying to stop it.)
A silly pointless fact that i didnt need to know but cheers.
