I can't believe that you haven't actually realised that what you originally wrote doesn't make any sense whatsoever. There may well have been a mildly interesting fact behind it all, but what YOU wrote in your initial post did not make sense.
If you didn't pay attention during your 'how to drive a train' lessons could I politely suggest that you go back to train school again, as it's quite important that you actually know what you're doing, and that you dont confuse 5mph with 2000mph!

snakes at 200 mph? rod? how much power will they need at brunters mate?
mythbusters busted that myth by folding a sheet of paper 11 times
some other stuff that i've forgotten in the course of reading this thread that i would question
what train are we refering to here? laden? unladen? in service? ut of service? how many carriages? etc?
steve: your train work wth any other tpye of metal band or just ac/dc? what about meatloaf? or bon jovi? perhaps that alice cooper fella or myrlinmanson might work better?
statistics can be made to proof anything, such as 60% of statistics are made up
how many italian train drivers are there if no one in italy wants to grow up to be a train driver?
and do train drivers "drive" trains or do they simply just speed them up and slow them down again at predetrmined intervals?

no it's not, it's a theory
you could never get a car to travel at 2000 miles per hour on conventional rubber and stop it using conventional brakes
it's the same theoretical arguement that temprature is a liniar thing, yet the only thing they have to calculate it is that water freezes/boils at 0 and 100 degrees c, everyones simply "assumes" that the rate of water temprature is a liniar rise and so everything is measured that way
same with the train
you can theorize that a car doing 2000 mph will take the same stopping force as a train does at 5 mph but that's using maths, not real time experiementation, same as the maclaren F1 road car was supposed to max out at 225 mph due to the gearing and power figures and coefficient of drag and all those other things that give you a max speed, but it's actually gone 241 mph
but i do to your determination*
8 although i think you'll find that chips not about at the weekends or this owuld turn into a 55 page monster by the time you had a chance to look at it again
