my first car, mini mayfair, me and our kid spent a year pissing about with it before we were old enough to even drive, stripped it right down, resprayed it on the drive, rebuilt the engine (first engine we'd ever touched) and changed absolutley everything, tinted the back windows ourselves, no rear seats just a huge sub box and 2 12" subs, custom dash, door cards headlining the lot. We pulled the front end off it when towing it once and that was it, off to the big scrapyard in the sky. Some right memories in that car

F684 DOK my old faithful 1.3 escort bonus, it was the first car that i changed an engine on as an apprentice. the donor engine had a genuine 22k miles on the clock.
it was driven hard as a rule and was the fastest standard 1.3 escort iv driven.
the only mods were a sports backbox and drilled airbox which didnt help the carb during winter cold starts
and early mk3 xr3 interior

My mk1 escort TCH 740L...never ran properly a day i owned it, always carried a full tool kit with it just to keep it going! But despite al its faults, i loved it to bits as it was the 1 car i'd wanted since i was 8....then i blew the engine, me and my dad re-built it along with the rotten front end..a lad from southern ireland bought it and drove it all the way home, he said it never even flickerd!
