dealers do come and go, there are a good few in our branch who have been there 9 years plus tbh they reckon if you stick it 2-3 years then you've cracked it.
cheers dave
yeah its a franchise, but you can enter at different levels. employed, consigned or full equity

pete was my dealer for 12 months or so, spent a few quid with him inluding a 53 inch stack off him too, he really is a top fella, might be a bit strict with getting to know people etc.... but he really is a brilliant fella!! he pushed me all the way until i got my job with snap on. he will do his best for you all the time mate. hasn't been doing it long compared to some, but he is well at home

I've pm'd where I work
I bought a 40" set of mark and a trolley, I've just got rid of that though as it was becoming a workshop dumping ground, Pete's taken that back off me

^^^ as above,a mate of mine who hit the bottle hard and lost his buisness and ended up kipping on a park bench fooked the snap on man off, paying his weekly off went out of the window.
i'd be very carefull though where you park the van as i know a few who have had grief inc one who got beaten up and robbed of everything inc the van.

yup that is the worst bit, have to agree about people going AWOL when owing you money, but thats where you have to use all the adequate checks and agreements to have things set in stone.
the number of bad payers is only a small majority compared to the genuine fella's who work in garages, am only 22, bit worried about how the older guys will take me, but will jsut have to see

i've been on the spanners nearly 7 years and i've bought snap on from day 1, now after going on my training and seeing exactly how everything is made etc....i actually appreciate the price. even though some see it as expensive.
yeah snap on will deal in used things, i will even take trade in's in ratchets, old spanner sets etc.... and they dont even have to be snap on but can give money off.
people on here would have to find out who the speific dealer is for that area and deal with them if am totally honest.

Stock the Industrial finish stuff . More value for money and get rid of the crappy Blue-Point Rubbish.

I looked into this a few years ago
A hell of a lot of hours needed to get round everyone but very well worth it
Only probs i see these days is the usuall ebay
I have and still do spend a fortune with my dealer but just latly have noticed i can buy snap on from ebay cheaper , Having said that i have resisted as im loyal and would rather have the back up etc that comes with a dealer , My only worry is most only look at price and forget what else you get when you buy from a dealer UNTIL they want warranty etc and they find they havent got any
Good luck with it mate , im sure you will enjoy it

Mint! Get some pictures!
I get an image in my head of a mincy/camp/fairy type of person taking keys of customers and screaming every time he gets oil on his hands or breaks a nail!

Mikey Gaz used to park his van in there back in the day.
I believe Gary left because he was asked to collect money of people that wernt his own deals and was strugling to find out who they where.
Although GOK is his initials, it is most probably the gayest name for a Garage ever

I rent a new snap on dealer a corner in my workshop to park his van, he has been running for about 4 months now and loves the job however the collecting money bit is not going so well, he is slowly finding out that people will just leave a job for whatever reason owing hundreds and dissapear.
The dealer who covers our area used to run two rounds 4 years ago and made good money those times have long gone, back to one van now and very low profit sign of the times.
Personally i used to spend between 5-7k a year 3-4 years ago now money is alot tighter you realise alot of what you buy you never really needed anyway, now only buy what i need no more impulse buying.
